Martha is a nutritionist, addiction coach, and neuro-nutrient recovery specialist. She holds a master’s degree in Integrative Nutrition from the Maryland University of Integrative Health, where she studied nutrition for functional medicine and wrote her thesis on the intersection of emotional trauma, addiction, and gut health. She completed her internship at the Hawaii Naturopathic Retreat on the Big Island of Hawaii, where she worked alongside acupuncturists, hypnotherapists, bodyworks, and a host of other healers, treating addiction and other health conditions with a mind-body- spirit model.
She runs a private nutrition practice in Boulder, CO, focusing on anxiety, depression, eating disorders, and addiction. As an addiction coach, she believes in the importance of balance and self care in cultivating lasting lifestyle changes. Restoring harmony is paramount to overcoming addiction. Looking at ways to to bring balance back to the physical body can ground a person enough to do the emotional/spiritual work that needs to be done.
